Gravel Driveways
Gravel driveways look great owing to the use of natural stone creating texture, colour and interest. At Landscaping.ie we have extensive experience in designing and installing gravel driveways. The materials and colours available are many, we have the suppliers and experience to choose the right driveway for you. Dust rather than quarry screenings makes up our sub-bases insuring no hardcore mixing with our decorative top surface, the dust also allows superior bedding in creating a more stable surface under foot. Another option is the use of Gravel Core Matting system, which further improves finish and stability. The top surface never exceeds 25mm, creating a stable surface for car wheels and pedestrian traffic.
The edging to beds and aprons are created using natural stone cobbles allowing for feature curves, elegant borders, colour blends and patterns. Granite kerbs can also be used giving height & definition. Straight or meandering paths are a great feature, creating interest & ease of access, especially if wearing high heels 🙂
Consideration needs to be given to wheelie bins as they are a complete eyesore. We custom build wheelie bin enclosures. We also custom build bike sheds or any storage solution required. These structures are built using imported planed pressure treated Scandinavian Spruce. This is the highest quality softwood on the market which can be painted or stained in a colour of your choice.

Just one review from many satisfied clients within the Dublin and Wicklow areas:
“When I asked Kevin to re-design my front garden/driveway I had no idea how he would completely transform it with the added bonus of enhancing the appearance of my house. He has made the whole area look bigger and brighter and it will be easy to maintain into the future. Kevin came up with the original design but what I really appreciated about working with him is that he was not rigid with his ideas. He was always willing to listen to suggestions and tweaks from my end and incorporate them as the work progressed.
It is clear Kevin takes great pride in his work and is hands on every step of the way. Despite some horrible wet and cold conditions, Kevin and his assistant Ian continued to work doggedly from early morning until it was dark. When the job was complete the whole area was left in immaculate condition.
I would not describe myself as any sort of gardener but I know what plants I don’t like. Kevin took the time with me at the garden centre to explain how different plants would enhance the garden while at the same time taking on board my personal likes and dislikes. Because of this level of collaboration, it is Kevin’s design but it is very much my garden”.
