Gravel Driveways
Cheapest option of the four, gravel driveways look great owing to the use of natural stone creating texture, colour and interest. At Landscaping.ie we have extensive experience in designing and installing gravel driveways. The materials and colours available are many, we have the suppliers and experience to choose the right driveway for you. Dust rather than quarry screenings makes up our sub-bases insuring no hardcore mixing with our decorative top surface, the dust also allows superior bedding in creating a more stable surface under foot. The top surface never exceeds 50mm again creating a stable surface for car wheels and pedestrian traffic. The edging to beds and aprons are created using natural stone cobbles allowing for feature curves, elegant borders, colour blends and patterns. Consideration needs to be given to wheelie bins as they are hard to move over gravel. A wheelie bin screen or path leading to storage area being the answer.
Cobblelock Driveways
The advantages of cobblelock is the cost and variety of products to choose from. The cobbles are man made and come in hundreds of different shapes, sizes and colours. Cobblelock is easy to install and because of the choice available is easy to match in with any property. Resin Bond Driveways
This is a good alternative if you have an existing concrete driveway. The product is a resin which is laid as an overlay on the concrete with chippings mixed in. The resin strongly sets the gravel in place and produces a maintenance free gravel bonded driveway. No excavation is required and you are left with a non slip surface without base chippings. The surface has a lovely gloss look, comes in a variety of different colours and is maintenance free. Ballylusk gravel and tumbled silver cobble driveway project in Mount Merrion Dublin
This driveway was totally transformed from one that needed a lot of repair to a modern and beautiful design. The original driveway was completely removed and replaced with a ballylusk gravel and tumbled silver cobble driveway. The driveway was complimented with a Portuguese Laurel boundary hedge. The owners were delighted with the new design, which easily created enough space for three cars. Explore the full project to see the progression and final design.
Ballylusk gravel driveway in Terenure, Dublin
This project was an excellent example of how you can create both a functional driveway for cars and a recreational space in your front garden. The driveway consisted of ballylusk gravel and dust alongside granite cobbles to direct people through to the front door. We also created a child-friendly seating area consisting of synthetic grass and raised rectangular beds. The client was delighted with the results in the end.
Silver granite and Ballylusk gravel driveway in Mount Merrion, Dublin
This driveway project enhanced the style and sophistication of the house in Mount Merrion, Dublin. It created plenty of room for cars while the surrounds of the driveway were complimented by elegant planting. The driveway consisted of large cobble silver granite entrance with Ballylusk gravel in the centre of the driveway.
