There are some flowers that are instantly recognisable by the general public. Others will have seen the flowers before but not know the exact names. One flower that is recognisable by landscape gardeners in Ireland is the Bellis or daisy. Daises are used for landscaping designs in edging beds or for planting in window boxes. There are a few different colour varieties of daises that are common in Ireland. There are red, pink  and white types of daises.

For planting the Bellis flower or daisy as it is commonly known, you can use any reasonable garden soil. The flowering period is from March to July. You can add some colour to your garden designs with this flower. Garden designers often use a variety of flower types to enhance the landscaping design of a garden.
