Dahlia Flower

The Dahlia or Bedding Dahlia is a knee high flower that can grow between 1 and 2 feet tall. If you are using the Dahlia in your landscaping design projects you can use any well drained garden soil. Choose a sunny spot in your garden for this plant. As with most garden designs think about how each coloured flower will match the surrounding flowers. It is the small details like colour that really make a garden design stand out from the crowd.

The Dahlia petals can be a splendid addition to a landscapers garden. Colourful and bright, they will definetly add a spark to a garden design. The flowering period for the Dahlia or Bedding Dahlia is from July to November.

Gardening Tip – There are many varieties of the Dahlia. Some of the favorities are the Coltness Hybrids – a very free flowering single blooms in a wide colour range.
